Slow Progress is still progress right?
Last week I was off for spring break and I had so much energy and momentum and while I didn't accomplish everything on my list I got through about 75%.
Then Monday happened…
I returned back to work as a middle school career & technology teacher for approximately 115 students in the 6th - 8th grade. I took spring break literally and didn’t open my gradebook until Sunday evening. When I saw all the things I had to do… I closed back my computer and went back to watching Narcos… cause baby… I was still on break.
My Monday, Tuesday and even today have looked like lesson planning and grading…and I’m still not done.
So I just wanna give a quick shout out to the folks who have a 9-5 and DIY on the side because the hustle is REAL.
Now that we’ve got the demo & paint out the way, this week(end’s) agenda is to put up the brick panels, which had been placed in her room to get acclimated to the temperature along with the wood shelving. Before this weekend I need to cut, condition, stain and polyurethane the shelves so they can be put up in the closet.
If you're curious about my budget and timeline check out “Pen & Paper: Project Planning Basics” to see the what, when & how much. I have also linked all of the items I am using above but keep in mind I got them on sale 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 and that helped me to stay in budget. When this challenge is over I will come back and take a look at what I budgeted versus what I actually spent and let y'all know the real deal.
